We are currently seeking a qualified Emergency Physicians for the Emergency Department at Kent General Hospital, located in Dover, Delaware and /or the Milford Memorial Hospital in Milford, Delaware. The Kent General Emergency Department has 21-beds and sees over 50,000 patients each year. Milford Memorial Hospital has 11-beds and sees over 25,000 patients each year. Both Emergency Departments are designated Level III Trauma Centers and utilize a Fast Track for non-urgent cases.

Milford Memorial Hospital and Kent General Hospital merged in January 1997 to form Bayhealth Medical Center – a not-for-profit healthcare organization. This is the second largest healthcare system in the state of Delaware with over 2,700 employees and 350 physicians. Kent General Hospital is a 231-bed, not-for-profit medical facility that was founded in 1927. It offers services that range from a Cancer Center to a Sleep Disorder Center to Home Care services. Dover’s population is approximately 34,000 residents with the hospital’s service population being approximately 100,000 residents. Milford Memorial Hospital, founded by Mary Louise Donnell Marshall in 1939, is a 168-bed facility with a service population of approximately 80,000 residents. It offers a wide range of services including Nuclear Medicine, a Cancer Center, and Surgical Services.

All physicians are partners of DelMarVa Emergency Physicians, LLP, a registered limited liability partnership. Physician partners who work a minimum of 60 hours per month are eligible for health, optical, and dental insurance at group rates. Physicians have the option to participate in a 401(k) plan, as well as life and disability insurance at group rates.

Candidates must be residency-trained or board-certified in Emergency Medicine.
