Position located at the main medical campus in Duluth, MN

Practice Specifics:

·         Work as a member of a Behavioral Health Care Team

·         Behavioral Health department includes Child Psychiatrists & Adult Psychiatrists, doctoral level psychologists, advanced nurse practitioners, psychotherapists and nurse clinicians.  Practice supported by CNS certified in C/A work.

·         Practice involves adolescent and child psychiatric patients with the full range of psychiatric problems and diagnoses.  Opportunity for evaluation and treatment of chemically dependent persons is available.

·         Consultation/liaison service is present.

·         Child/Adolescent 16 bed inpatient unit at Miller Dwan Medical Center, part of the Duluth medical campus.

·         Time built into schedule to work up new admissions from call night/weekend.

·         Service includes partial hospital programs for children and adolescents

·         Service includes an onsite 24 hr/7 day per week behavioral health access center for triage and crisis services staffed by seasoned psychiatric nurses and psychotherapists.

·         NACHRI designated hospital, St. Mary’s Medical Center, part of Duluth medical campus

·         2 ½ hour drive by freeway to the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area

·         Regional service area 460,000; Duluth, MN/Superior, WI population approximately 127,000
