Radiation Oncologist Needed

The physician taking this position will join another Radiation Oncologist with an already thriving cancer practice in a rapidly growing health care market. Practice is located in Memorial Hospital of Carbondale with an off-site clinic 13 miles to the east.

Salary is very competitive and it is on a partnership track.

As the new Radiation Oncologist you will admit patients to Memorial Hospital of Carbondale, ranked a Top 100 Hospital for the last two years by Solucient, an industry leader in hospital quality improvement. Memorial is a not-for-profit, patient focused hospital with a strategic plan designed specifically to create an efficient, safe, hassle-free environment for specialty physicians.

 

The hospital is a regional medical center and is currently adding a two-floor addition to increase capacity and provide nearly all private rooms. The hospital imaging center includes all-digital imaging and archiving with 64-slice CT scanning, MRI and PET.

 

Memorial is also part of the Southern Illinois Healthcare hospital system, which has recently developed a cancer services line with a director to serve physicians and make care more convenient and coordinated for patients.
